47th Student Theater Festival Begins 4/6 at Bucks County Playhouse

The Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) and Newtown Arts Company welcome the 47th Student Theater Festival to Bucks County Playhouse, featuring 55 performances by 31 schools from throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The festival begins on Monday, April 6th and will take place over six days: April 6, 10, 13, 14, 16, and 17. Students will spend the morning taking workshops in various theatre disciplines and the afternoon performing on the landmark Playhouse stage and receiving constructive feedback from theater professionals, including Broadway performers. A complete list of participating schools and adjudicators attached. Awards will be given out in various categories including Best Production, Best Ensemble, and Outstanding Actor, amongst others.

Performances are open to the general public and general admission tickets are $10 per person for each full day. Performances begin at 1:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased on the BCP website (http://www.bcptheater.org/shows-events/bucks-county-playhouse-student-theater-festival/) or by calling the box office at (215) 862-2121.

This year, schools participating in the Student Theater Festival are competing to perform in the BEST OF FEST Sunday, April 19, which will feature 4-5 outstanding productions from the Student Theater Festival and is open to the public to experience. Times & ticket pricing: 7:30 PM on Sunday, April 19, $10 General Admission.
