The Judas Redux team just announced casting and ticket information for its new production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis, directed by Julia Albain. The Last Days of Judas Iscariot will be presented at Stage 773, 1225 West Belmont in Chicago, for 18 performances, August 23 - September 8, 2013. A Kickstarter campaign for the project was launched on Friday morning, March 29, and the goal of $36,000 was met on Monday evening, April 1, as of 11 p.m., approximately 82 hours after it went live. Producer Dee Smith's vision for doing THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT came to her during a trip to Rome, Italy long before Pope Benedict decided to call it quits. She had been cast in another LA production several years ago, but she, along with several other cast members left the production early in the process. On March 1st, the controversial and much talked about Stephen Adly Guirgis play opened at The Victory Theatre Center (Big Victory) and will continue through until April 6th. Arden Theatre Company continues its 2012/13 Season with Freud's Last Session, written by Mark St. Germain and directed by Ian Merrill Peakes. This imagined meeting between C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud will run on the Arcadia Stage from October 25 through December 23, 2012. Chicago Shakespeare Theater's (CST) 25th Anniversary Season production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by CST Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin (CST's Follies, Broadway's The Color Purple) is now playing through April 8, 2012, and features a celebrated company of artists that includes stage and screen actor Ron Orbach as Nick Bottom, former Saturday Night Live funnyman Tim Kazurinsky as Peter Quince, and veteran CST actors Tracy Michelle Arnold as Hippolyta/Titania and Timothy Edward Kane as Theseus/Oberon. Performing the role of Puck is Elizabeth Ledo.

New York's smash hit play FREUD'S LAST SESSION opened its second foreign production on January 25th at the famed Multiteatro in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Under the title La Ultima Sesion de Freud, the play's South American debut stars Jorge Suarez as Sigmund Freud and Luis Machin as C. S. Lewis, under the direction of Daniel Veronese.
