Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story, a new musical based on the life and songs of legendary songwriter Bert Berns, produced by Merged Work Productions (lead producers) and Jack Thomas(Executive Producer), opened last night, July 21, 2014, at the The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Seattle Children's Theatre presents the world-premiere musical, James and the Giant Peach. Just in time for the holidays, Timothy Allen McDonald's wonderful adaptation from Roald Dahl's best seller will include original music by Tony-Award nominated lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Based on the hit DreamWorks film and the true story that inspired it, the high-flying Broadway musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN officially opened its run March 12 - 24, 2013 at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre. Broadway World's own Michael Sterling and Jerry Evans of the JLE Media Group were on hand to chat with the stars at the glamorous red carpet event. Celebrity guests included Max Ehrich, Ruta Lee, Jo Anne Worley, Bruce Vilanch, Anna Trebunskaya, Davis Gaines, Linda Hart, Raphael Sabarge, Charlene Tilton and Ed Ames among others. The producers of the Tony Award Nominated Broadway musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN announced yesterday, August 9, that the show will play its final performance on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at The Neil Simon Theatre, 250 W. 52nd Street. The musical will have played 32 preview and 170 regular performances. The first national tour will launch in the Fall of 2012 at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI. CATCH ME IF YOU CAN captures the astonishing true story of Frank Abagnale, Jr., a world-class con artist who passed himself off as a doctor, a lawyer, and a jet pilot-all before the age of 21. With straight-arrow FBI agent Carl Hanratty on Frank's trail, we're off on a jet-setting, cat-and-mouse chase, as a jazzy, swinging-sixties score keeps this adventure in constant motion. In the end, Agent Hanratty learns he and Frank aren't so very different after all, and Frank finds out what happens when love catches up to a man on the run.
