THE FANTASTICKS, the world's longest running musical, will celebrate a record breaking 20,000th New York performance, on Sunday, September 15, 2013, announced producers Catherine Russell and Al Parinello. Seth Rudetsky's and Patti LuPone's encore at the Leicester Square Theatre sent audiences into a frenzy Thursday night, June 20. Patti and Seth performed 'With One Look', marking the second time last week that LuPone had sung the number since her final performance of Sunset Boulevard in London in 1994. MCC Theater recently announced that Neil LaBute's new play, Reasons to be Happy, also directed by LaBute, will now extend through Saturday, June 29th. Reasons to Be Happy is a companion piece to LaBute's critically-acclaimed award-winning play,Reasons to Be Pretty, first produced at MCC Theater in 2008 before moving to Broadway where it was nominated for three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Play.
