ANYTHING GOES has officially announced the winner of the 'You're the Tap' contest, who will receive an Anything Goes spree in NYC. The prize package for two includes airfare provided by American Airlines, hotel accommodations at Flatotel, dinner at Aureole, and tickets to Anything Goes with a backstage meet and greet. As previously reported, Stephanie J. Block will join the Tony Award winning company of Anything Goes performing the role of 'Reno Sweeney' while Sutton Foster is filming the television pilot, Bunheads, for 3 weeks beginning tonight, November 4. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record of Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre for the 18th time. The show earned $1,337,952.07 in the 1,068-seat O'Neill, one of Broadway's smallest theatres, for the week ending Sunday, October 9, 2011. The new, off-Broadway production of RENT opened August 11 at New World Stages. The resurrection of the cult classic, written by Jonathan Larson, is being directed by Michael Greif, who directed the show's original off-Broadway and Broadway productions. The creative team includes choreographer Larry Keigwin, music supervisor Tim Weil, set designer Mark Wendland, costume designer Angela Wendt, lighting designer Kevin Adams, sound designer Brian Ronan, and projection designer by Peter Nigrini. In the video below, original and current costume designers Angela Wendt and Lisa Zinni talk about how the costumes in 'RENT' have evolved over the years and what can be expected in the Off-Broadway revival.
