The 2010 Olivier Awards will take place on 21 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Spring Awakening, Enron, Jerusalem and A Little Night Music among the standouts of the season with the most nominations. The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984. The Awards are run by The Society of London Theatre but are adjudicated by panels that are equally made up of members of the theatregoing public and experts chosen for their knowledge and professional experience. During last night's GRAMMY Awards, the Broadway cast of AMERICAN IDIOT performed with Green Day on the band's two-time GRAMMY nominated song '21 Guns' on Music's Biggest Night. The Broadway cast of AMERICAN IDIOT performed with Green Day on the band's two-time GRAMMY nominated song '21 Guns' on Music's Biggest Night. The 52ND Annual Grammy Awards took place live on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and were broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8-11:30pm (ET/PT).

Following the record-breaking and critically acclaimed engagement of 'American Idiot' at the Berkeley Rep, the production is now Broadway-bound. 'American Idiot' will begin previews in March 2010 and open on Broadway in April at the St. James Theatre. The Broadway cast will be announced shortly.
