TV: Broadway Sessions Belts It Out for Black History Month!

A few weeks ago over at Broadway Sessions we were joined by an incredible lineup of artists for our Black History Month Celebration! It was an amazing night full of beautiful moments from everyone involved. Performers included Nikki James (Tony Award-Winner), Olivia Donalson (Aladdin), Arica Jackson (Head Over Heels), Laurissa 'Lala' Romain (South Pacific), Kathryn Allison (Wicked), Brennyn Lark (Les Miserables), Antoine Smith (MJ The Musical), Brynn Williams (Spongebob), Carmen Ruby Floyd (Hello Dolly), Joy Woods (Little Shop Of Horrors), Olutayo Bosede (Moulin Rouge), Crystal Joy (Motown), Salome Smith (Little Shop Of Horrors), L. Just last night, The Public Theater celebrated its Annual Gala, HAIR TO HAMILTON, 50 Years of Revolutionary Musicals, at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, with musical direction by Rob Fisher and Nadia DiGiallonardo, the 90-minute concert featured songs from The Public's most beloved and groundbreaking musicals performed by some of the most celebrated voices in theater. New York City saw a different side of its typically conservative Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, when he donned extensions and hippie garb on stage with Broadway's cast of Hair at the Inner Circle fundraiser dinner on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Hilton Hotel. Yesterday, February 16, Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, and HAIR director Diane Paulus proudly introduced the new Tribe of America's favorite Tribal Love-Rock Musical to the press. The new Tribe will debut on Tuesday, March 9, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, as the current cast takes the production to the West End, opening April 14 at London's Gilegud Theatre.

Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of The Public Theater, has announced the Broadway cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. The new Tribe will debut on Tuesday, March 9, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC). The cast performed 'Let The Sun Shine In' for the press.
