Alliance Theatre announces their new season, which takes them on the road!

Set sail on an epic adventure this holiday season with a dramatically reimagined production of Moby Dick. Adaptor and director David Catlin brings his daring new adaptation of the classic seafaring tale to Arena Stage, using bold trapeze and acrobatic work to bring to life Captain Ahab's harrowing quest for the legendary great while whale. The cast and audience at a recent performance took on the viral 'Mannequin Challenge' and passed with flying colors - check it out below!

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, opens its 24th Season with the Southeastern premiere of Ghost The Musical at the Theatre's home in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Performances have limited run dates for three weeks only from September 15th through October 2nd, 2016, Wednesdays through Sundays. GET's Co-founder and Artistic Director Robert Farley will direct the production. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

The ALLIANCE THEATRE began rehearsals this week for The Prom, the hilarious new musical that will have its pre-Broadway World Premiere in Atlanta, August 18 - September 25, 2016.  Director Casey Nicholaw talks about the show in the video below!

EVITA, one of the most passionate and powerful rock operas in Broadway history, will be presented at The Marriott Theatre (10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire), previewing April 13, opening April 20 and running through June 5. The winner of seven Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical masterpiece with lyrics by Tim Rice will be directed and choreographed by Jeff Award-nominee Alex Sanchez(Choreography for On the Town and Mary Poppins at The Marriott Theatre; Follies at Chicago Shakespeare Theater) with musical direction by Ryan T. Nelson.

TUCK EVERLASTING, the new musical based on Natalie Babbitt's beloved best-selling novel of the same name, is currently in previews at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). With direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Something Rotten!, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon), Tuck Everlasting will officially open on Broadway on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. The musical recently polled passerby in Times Square, asking 'If you could live forever, would you?' Watch our exclusive video below to hear their answers!

Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner are performing together in NYC for the first time in nearly nine years.  The duo received a Tony Award co-nomination for their role(s) as the conjoined twins, Daisy and Violet Hilton, in the original Broadway production of Side Show; separately, Alice and Emily have starred in numerous other Broadway shows including The Full Monty, Next To Normal, Billy Elliot, The Rocky Horror Show, and many more. Additional performances will take place February 4-6 (7PM) and February 6 (9:30PM) at Feinstein's/54 Below. The Alliance Theatre's production of A STEADY RAIN, a contemporary crime drama by writer and producer Keith Huff(Mad Men, American Crime), is directed by Steppenwolf Theatre co-founder Jeff Perry (who currently plays White House Chief of Staff Cyrus Beene on ABC's SCANDAL). On August 1, 2015 the full 2-hour documentary CROSSING THE LINE TO BROADWAY premiered worldwide, chronicling the epic journey of the 2013 Tony Award Nominated musical BRING IT ON!, featuring book by Jeff Whitty, music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tom Kitt, lyrics by Amanda Green and Lin-Manuel Miranda, and music arrangements by Alex Lacamoire and Tom Kitt.
