With a string of hit musicals to his credit at Stratford, including 42nd Street, Camelot, Evita and West Side Story, director Gary Griffin returns to the classics in his fifth Festival season with Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra. Starring Geraint Wyn Davies and Yanna McIntosh, the tragic drama begins previews on Sunday, August 3, at Stratford's Tom Patterson Theatre. The production officially opens on Thursday, August 14.

Canadian Stage presents THIS, an un-romantic comedy by acclaimed Canadian playwright, Melissa James Gibson, from tonight, March 18 to April 13 (opening and media night: March 21). Directed by Canadian Stage's Artistic & General Director Matthew Jocelyn, and featuring Laura Condlln, Christian Laurin, Yanna McIntosh, Alon Nashman and Jonathon Young, the play is an honest portrait of a group of 30-something friends navigating their way through death, parenthood, love and adultery. THIS marks the first time New York-based Gibson's work has been presented in Toronto.

The 32nd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards for the 2010/2011 season were handed out in a star-studded ceremony in Toronto on the evening of Monday, June 27 at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts' Bluma Appel Theatre, co-hosted by Gemini-nominated comedian/writer/actor Craig Lauzon of CBC-TV's Royal Canadian Air Farce and actress Michaela Washburn, Dora-nominated for her principal role in Theatre Passe Muraille's Such Creatures.

The first winners of the Toronto Theatre Critics' Awards - decided by John Coulbourn (the Toronto Sun), Richard Ouzounian (the Toronto Star), Robert Cushman (the National Post), and Kelly Nestruck (the Globe and Mail) - were announced today. Among the winners were Tony Sheldon, now Tony-nominated for PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, and SOUTH PACIFIC, which was produced by Lincoln Center Theatre.
