Check the headlines! The beloved Disney musical Newsies, featuring songs like 'Seize The Day', 'Santa Fe', and 'King of New York', could be coming to your stage! Music Theatre International announced that they would be exclusively licensing this New York tap extravaganza! Set in New York City at the turn of the century, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenaged 'newsies,' who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. But when publishing titans Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack finds a cause to fight for and rallies newsies from across the city to strike for what's right.

The vitality and inventiveness of artists in 18th-century New Spain (Mexico) is the focus of the exhibition Painted in Mexico, 1700-1790: Pinxit Mexici, opening April 24 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Through some 112 works of art (primarily paintings), many of which are unpublished and newly restored, the exhibition will survey the most important artists and stylistic developments of the period and highlight the emergence of new pictorial genres and subjects. Painted in Mexico, 1700-1790 is the first major exhibition devoted to this neglected topic.

BLK PRIME, the Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) service available worldwide, announced a multi-season deal with Nigerian musician, actor and entertainer, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, to play the lead role in the original drama series, Church. The show will premiere on BLK PRIME worldwide in late spring, 2018.

The palace of Versailles has attracted travelers since it was transformed under the direction of the Sun King, Louis XIV (1638-1715), from a simple hunting lodge into one of the most magnificent public courts of Europe. On February 4, 1974, 19-year-old Patricia 'Patty' Hearst was kidnapped from her Berkeley, California apartment. Because she was the granddaughter of American publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst, Patty's kidnapping left authorities confounded and the American public glued to its television screens watching the saga of an abducted American heiress unfold. THE LOST TAPES: PATTY HEARST tells the inside story, without interviews or narration, utilizing Hearst's own voice recordings, footage of her first interview following her release and first-hand audio tapes of the kidnappers. In addition, rediscovered news footage allows viewers to experience all of the confusion, fear and absurdity that held a nation in thrall for 19 months.
