Phoenix Theatre will present a star-studded cast, including some of Phoenix's favorite actors, when Stephen Sondheim's Company opens on April 22, 2009 for a limited engagement. Company follows on the heals of Phoenix Theatre's biggest hit in its 88 year history, Les Miserables.

Tony Award-winner Cady Huffman (The Producers, The Will Rogers Follies), Elizabeth Stanley (Company, Cry-Baby), and Celina Carvajal (Cats, 42nd Street, Dracula, Tarzan) are set to appear in the special one-night only performance of Hey, You Know What Movie Would Make a Good Musical? being presented by New York Theatre Barn on Monday, April 6th at the Julia Miles Theatre. FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine, and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, continues its 10th Anniversary season with the debut of Tony Award winning Broadway star SUTTON FOSTER for two nights only, April 6 and April 20.

Bradley Dean, Jonathan Schwartz, Ramona Mallory and Douglas Ullman, Jr. will join the Off Broadway cast of The Fantasticks as El Gallo, Matt, Luisa and The Mute, respectively, beginning Monday, March 30, 2009.

CURTAINS, the hilarious new musical whodunit that was a 'must-see' hit of the 2007-2008 Broadway season, playing over 500 performances, kicks off Drury Lane Oakbrook's 25th anniversary season. The production previews March 19, opens Thursday, March 26 and runs through May 17 at Drury Lane Oakbrook, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, IL. This is the first regional production of CURTAINS, preceding even the first National Tour. Legendary designers WILLIAM IVEY LONG and BOB CROWLEY are among the four recipients of 2009 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards to be presented at a ceremony this Friday, March 27 at 6:30pm, at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Five-time Tony Award winning costume designer William Ivey Long will receive the 2009 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for theatrical costume design, and, for his achievements as both a costume and scenic designer, Bob Crowley (also a five-time Tony Award winner) will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards' special Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theatrical Design.

John C. Breckenridge, President and CEO of Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS), announced today the nominations for TUTS' seventh annual Tommy Tune Awards which will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Developed by TUTS, the Tommy Tune Awards honor musical theatre excellence at the high school level. After reviewing and evaluating the 45 participating Houston-area high school productions during the 2008-2009 school year, a team of 29 Houston-based theatre professionals made 152 nominations in 15 categories.

Representing the print and electronic media, 23 members of the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle announce the winners of 37 Drama awards and 37 Musical awards from 257 nominated actors, designers, productions, and more reviewed in 2008. Over 400 productions were seen in 2008 by Circle critics reviewing theatre from San Jose to Santa Rosa, San Francisco to Concord.

George Street Playhouse has announced full casting for New Year's Eve a world premiere from the pen of ARTHUR LAURENTS. George Street Playhouse Artistic Director DAVID SAINT will direct a starry cast comprised of WALTER BELENKY, KEITH CARRADINE, PETER FRECHETTE, MARLO THOMAS and NATASHA GREGSON WAGNER. New Year's Eve marks the ninth collaboration between Saint and Laurents at the New Brunswick Playhouse, and the return engagement of Ms. Thomas, who starred in Elaine May's Roger is Dead last season.
