Comedy meets poignancy in Will Eno’s unconventional drama.

Bob Gunton, a two-time Tony nominee, Drama Desk and Obie winner (Sweeney Todd, Evita, How I Got That Story) will return to the New York area stage after a thirty-year hiatus to star in the acclaimed drama The Soap Myth by Drama Desk winner Jeff Cohen Aug 10-28 at Southampton Cultural Center.

Vineyard Theatre has announced that Lessons in Survival: 1971 will resume performances on Wednesday, June 15 with Reggie D. White temporarily stepping into the role of James Baldwin. Due to positive COVID test results within the company, Vineyard Theatre has cancelled performances of Lessons in Survival: 1971 through Sunday, June 12. Ticket holders for impacted performances (June 10-12) will be contacted by phone and email regarding rebooking and next steps.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage “Kim's Convenience,” a funny and touching comedy about a Korean family who owns a Toronto convenience store, written by Ins Choi and directed by Nelson T. Eusebio III, from July 5 through July 17.

Vineyard Theatre has announced casting and design team for the upcoming World Premiere of Lessons in Survival: 1971 at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) now on-sale. Lessons In Survival: 1971 will begin previews at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) May 26, 2022 and play through June 30 with an opening night set for June 9.

Thom Pain (based on nothing), a play by Will Eno, has been announced for the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Directed by Bryan Keith and performed by Johnny Patrick Yoder, there will be five performances only at the Broadwater Second Stage: Sunday 6/5 at 5:30pm (preview); Saturday 6/11 at 7:30pm; Thursday 6/16 at 8pm; Wednesday 6/22 at 5pm; and Saturday 6/25 at 12:30pm. Running time is 70 minutes.

Second Thought Theatre has announced their full production of Dry Powder. After a brief, COVID-related slowdown, Dry Powder will serve as the opening production of the 2022 season.
