On Tuesday, October 25, cast and creatives gathered for the first rehearsal of the Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 production of YOUR OWN PERSONAL EXEGESIS. The new play by Julia May Jonas, directed by Annie Tippe, begins performances Saturday, November 19 ahead of a Monday, December 5 opening at the Claire Tow Theater. See photos here!

World Premiere of YOUR OWN PERSONAL EXEGESIS to be Presented at Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 in November

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 will present the world premiere production of YOUR OWN PERSONAL EXEGESIS, a new play by Julia May Jonas, directed by Annie Tippe, which will begin performances Saturday, November 19 and run for six weeks only through Saturday, December 31 at the Claire Tow Theater.  Opening night is Monday, December 5.

The audience sits inside a dressing room encircled by mirrors, as three female performers contest with their own deep-seated desire to be extraordinary. The actress navigates an obstacle course littered with difficult conditions: physical suffering, sexual obsession, self-love that loops into doubt, and fear of fateful intervention. Dramatic scenarios unfurl through dance to reveal an anti-strategy about wrestling with ambition and being female in this 21st century moment.
