Howl Playwrights is a theater group dedicated to nurturing and empowering the development of new works by emerging playwrights. The play development group meets once a week (now virtually!). Normally, the group met in Rhinebeck, NY.

West Valley Arts will present Footloose, running March 12-28, 2020 at Harman Theatre. With a stellar, local cast, Footloose will have audiences dancing in their seats. 'We were blown away by the talent at auditions and couldn't be happier with the cast we have. They are working extremely hard and it will show on opening night,' stated director Jeanne McGuire.

The first annual Hunter Mountain Film Festival (HMFF), in partnership with Doctorow Center for the Arts and Orpheum Film and Performing Arts Center, will provide a one of a kind film celebration through an interactive mountain adventure in beautiful Upstate New York from Thursday, May 16, through Saturday, May 18, 2019.

A Christmas Carol promises a night to remember for the entire family with performances of this funny, dynamic, and face paced new adaptation of a favorite holiday classic December 4-6, 11-13, 16, and 18-19. In this adaptation by Patrick Barlow (creator of the Tony award-winning hit The 39 Steps), five actors bring Charles Dickens's iconic characters to life in this streamlined, highly theatrical re-telling of Scrooge's redemption-from miserly curmudgeon to a generous and kind member of society. Family members of all ages will come together to laugh, shed a tear, and revel in the joy of the season.
