Kathy and Bryan Wittman of Hamburg, NY have been announced as chairpersons of Shea's Performing Arts Center's 90th Anniversary fundraising Gala that will take place on Saturday, April 16 on the grand stage of Shea's.

Music Director Nicholas McGegan-who celebrates 30 years of leading the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra this season-returns to Carnegie Hall to conduct the ensemble in the New York premiere of Scarlatti's La Gloria di Primavera on Friday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall. The performance of the newly re-discovered work-written 300 years ago to celebrate the birth of the heir to the Holy Roman Emperor-features soprano Suzana Ograjenšek, mezzo-soprano Diana Moore, countertenor Clint van der Linde, tenor Nicholas Phan, and bass-baritone Douglas Williams.

On Sunday, March 13th at 4pm, Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) presented the youth premiere of the new symphonic version of Children of Eden by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin and The Prince of Egypt). Schwartz himself worked as a guest mentor with the YAA high school-aged students. The cast, full symphonic orchestra, and chorus will include over 350 youth from all over the DC Metro area including 250 younger artists from North Bethesda Middle School. The performance took place at The Music Center at Strathmore (5301 Tuckerman Ln, North Bethesda, MD).

Walt Disney Records has released the compilation album Everybody Loves Disney, now available at all download stores and streaming services. Each artist revealed their music videos on their respective social media platforms on the digital album release date, Friday, March 25 th. The unique collaboration between the label and YouTube stars is in celebration of last year's Top 10 Billboard album, We Love Disney, produced by David Foster.
