Wedding Fever Continues This Autumn With Choreographer Didy Veldman's THE KNOT

After world premiere performances of Didy Veldman's The Knot in Ipswich and Guildford in February, and Meghan marrying Harry in May, wedding fever continues this autumn with an 11-venue tour of Veldman's dance theatre take on matrimony. In The Knot, by Dutch-born choreographer and director Veldman, a cast of seven exceptional dancers play the roles of the bride, groom, best man and bridesmaids, and audience members become the wedding guests as the evening and celebrations unfold.

Lust, Greed, Wrath and the other Seven Deadly Sins are as prominent as Mephistophilis himself in Archway Theatre's adaptation of Christopher Marlowe's 'Faustus' to be performed as a site-specific immersive production inside the Woodbury University Library June 29 through July 14. Performances are 8 p.m. Fridays and Todays. Tickets are $30.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association has announced the four conductors who will participate in the 2018/19 Dudamel Fellowship Program: Nuno Coelho, Stephen Mulligan, Elena Schwarz, and Jesus Uzcategui. Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, together with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, created the Dudamel Fellowship Program in 2009 to provide a unique opportunity for promising young conductors from around the world to develop their craft and enrich their musical experience through personal mentorship and participation in the LA Phil's orchestral, education, and community programs.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale today announced that it will receive a $1 million gift from philanthropists Kiki and David Gindler. The pledge was announced at the annual meeting of the Master Chorale's Board of Directors held today at The Music Center where the choir is a founding resident company. The meeting was Mr. Gindler's last in his role as Chair of the Board, a position he has held for two three-year terms, the maximum term allowed.

Twenty-five years ago, when digital entertainment was nascent, George Lucas and University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts Dean Elizabeth Daley envisioned the Entertainment Technology Center @ USC (ETC@USC or ETC) to bridge the divide between technologists and filmmakers. Today, ETC@USC (etcenter.org) is celebrating a quarter century as Hollywood's premiere think tank and research center dedicated to emerging technology's impact on professional content.
