Following two sold out performances at Manhattan's famed cabaret nightspot Don't Tell Mama, Al Tulane returns with an encore presentation of Act of A Lifetime - Cheaper Than Therapy Friday, April 1 at 10pm. Following the success of their concert performances and subsequent recording of Bernstein's West Side Story, Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Fransisco Symphony will present Leonard Bernstein's musical On the Town May 25-29. On TODAY, six-time Emmy winner Tyne Daly says she first worked with Field a long time ago at the opening of Burt Reynolds' Jupiter Theatre in Florida, which she calls “a complete disaster” and “a bonding experience.” She says she was drawn to “My Name Is Doris” by the writing, the prospect of working with Field, and that “they gave me three of the best jokes.” She also reflects on her long career.

George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of Laura Eason's Sex With Strangers, which runs March 8 through March 27 at the New Brunswick theatre. Kyle Coffman (Newsies, West Side Story on Broadway) will portray young, brash writer Ethan Kane; JoAnna Rhinehart (TV's Elementary, Damages) will play novelist and teacher Olivia Lago. The production will be helmed by George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint.

Barrie in the smash hit, record-breaking Broadway musical. ? New Brunswick's George Street Playhouse celebrates the end of another successful season on Sunday, May 22, with its Annual Gala Benefit. As part of the celebration, the Thomas H. Kean Arts Advocacy Award will be conferred upon The Actors Fund and its President and Chief Executive Officer, Joseph P. Benincasa, by the former Governor himself. The inaugural award was given to Governor Kean in 1990 and was named in his honor to pay tribute to an individual, corporation or foundation whose dedication to the arts enhances the cultural life of the citizens of New Jersey.

Opera Mariposa, a critically acclaimed company for local and emerging artists, is launching its new theatre wing with the Tony Award-winning play Master Class by Terrence McNally. The play, which offers a glimpse into the life and psyche of legendary opera diva Maria Callas, will be presented at Marpole United Church on February 19-28 (Fridays-Sundays). Mariposa's production features a multi-award-winning cast headed by Jessie Award recipient Laura Di Cicco, and the show includes musical highlights by Puccini, Verdi and Bellini.
