VAUDEVILLE IN THE PARK is this weekend! The signature fundraising event for the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival is back on May 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. at The Old Zoo in Griffith Park.

The Hollywood Arts Council presented their 28th Annual Charlie Awards Luncheon in theBlossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, home of the first Academy Awards ceremony, at a Sold Out event on Friday, April 25, 2014. Shauna McClure, Executive Director of the Hollywood Arts Council said: "This was the record breaking year of all time in the Hollywood Arts Council's 36-year history. We raised $110,000 at this year's luncheon. Our Online Auction is still open atwww.biddingforgood.com/hollywoodartscouncil. The auction items include one-of-a-kind items, tickets to shows, art and the like. Bidding will close at 12-Midnight on Wednesday, April 30, 2014."

The Hollywood Arts Council's 28th Annual Charlie Awards Luncheon, benefiting the Council's arts programs for underserved children in the community, will be held on April 25, 2014. Emceed by ABC7 Television's George Pennacchio, the luncheon will take place in the Blossom Room in the Hollywoof Roosevelt Hotel. Arrivals will happen between 11:15am and 12:00noon, at which time the event begins.

The Blank Theatre's Young Playwrights Festival is now seeking submissions nationwide from playwrights 19 years of age and younger. The submission deadline is March 15, 2014. Winning plays will be presented by professional actors and directors in June, 2014 at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

On Saturday, August 10th, 2013 Project Angel Food hosted its annual Angel Awards where the non-profit recognized the philanthropic accomplishments of award-winning actress Jane Lynch, star of FOX's GLEE and host of NBC's new hit "Hollywood Game Night," and Food network staple, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. With nearly 400 guests in attendance, it was a night to celebrate and many of Hollywood's brightest turned out to show their support for the evening's honorees and the organization which prepares and delivers over 12,000 nutritious meals every week to those with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Los Angeles County. The Hollywood Arts Council (HAC) presents its FREE 28th Annual Children's Festival of the Arts today August 11, 2013 from 12-Noon to 4:30 p.m. at Paramount Pictures, 5555 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, CA. The Festival is partially funded by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.

Project Angel Food will honor a slew of celebrities at tonight's Angel Awards in Hollywood. Guests at this year's gathering will be treated to a special appearance by the organization's founder, MariAnne Williamson, as she presents award-winning actress Jane Lynch with the appropriately named MariAnne Williamson Founder Award. The evening's other honoree, celebrity chef and Food Network star, Giada De Laurentiis, will receive the organization's inaugural Iconic Chef Award from actress Bryce Dallas Howard. Howard knows firsthand just how extraordinary De Laurentiis is in the kitchen as one of De Laurentiis' first jobs after cooking school was working as the Howard family's personal chef.
