2017 marks the historic 86th Anniversary of the Hollywood Christmas Parade, an American tradition. The parade is produced by Associated Television International and presented in association with The City of Los Angeles. The annual live parade is held in the streets of Hollywood attracting more than one million people. During the Red Carpet Arrivals Event at this year's live parade on Sunday, November 26th Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell will present this year's Parade Grand Marshal Dr. Oz with a Certificate of Recognition from The City of Los Angeles for his career accomplishments.

The 85 th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade featuring Grand Marshal Olivia Newton-John, will premiere as a two-hour primetime special on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT (7:00 p.m. CT) on The CW Network repeating on Wednesday, December 21, 2106 at 3:00 p.m. ET/PT (2:00 p.m. CT) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel

The 85th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade Featuring Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, produced by Associated Television Internationaland presented in associations with The City of Los Angeles, will be led this year by award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John, who will serve as Grand Marshal, and will be joined by four other Former Grand Marshals of the Parade to help celebrate this historic occasion in style, including: Mickey Mouse, Larry King, Louis Gossett Jr. and Robert Wagner.

Almost 80 students from The Dolores Mission School gathered for a wonderful opportunity to visit Hollywood and tour the recently decorated Hollywood Museum, enjoy the beautiful holiday decorations by Dr Christmas (Bob Pranga), as well as hear inspirational stories with interesting messages from local politicians and personalities. Independent Shakespeare Co. (ISC), announces THE SPRING FROLIC, a benefit to celebrate and support the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival, the annual summer presentation of 10 weeks of 40 classical theater performances, education workshops, pre-show arts performances and salon-style discussions, all presented admission-free. ISC is the 2015 recipient of the prestigious Margaret Harford Award for Sustained Excellence as voted by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle.

The Hollywood Arts Council (HAC) presented their 29th Annual FREE Children's Festival of the Arts at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Shauna McClure, Executive Director of the Hollywood Arts Council said, 'This year's Children's Festival of the Arts was attended by a record high of around 5,000 people. The event was a total success! People whose parents attended the festival in the past are now bringing their own kids. The diversity of the crowd in attendance was truly amazing.'

Now Forever Flamenco returns to the outdoor stage at the Ford Theatres with this passionate expression of Spanish culture. A roster of internationally renowned flamenco artists will pay tribute to Los Angeles flamenco pioneer Roberto Amaral tonight, Aug. 9 at 8:30 p.m. at the Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood.

An earthquake romance. A genre-defying song play. With a score by leading contemporary composer John Adams and a libretto by the late poet June Jordan, I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky was written as an homage to the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Now, 20 years later, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission presents the Southern California premiere, performed by Long Beach Opera. LBO artistic director Andreas Mitisek conducts a concert staging at the Ford Amphitheatre on Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. as part of the Ford's Zev Yaroslavsky Signature Series.
