Now in the theater's 41st year of presenting the holiday classic, this version of A Christmas Carol adapted by Paul Walsh and Carey Perloff stays true to the heart of Dickens's timeless story of redemption and brings a playful sensibility to his rich language. Showman Marti Gould Cummings, known for his inventive blend of drag, comedy, and vocal performance, announces the release of his first record, A Very Marti Holiday, available on iTunes November 1. Produced by Blake Allen, the album will feature recordings with Marti Gould Cummings, Tony Award Winner Cady Huffman, Tony nominee Daphne Rubin Vega, Olivier Award winner Lesli Margarita, Lion King star Jelani Remy, Kristina Nicole Miller, and Dear Evan Hanson's Tim Young.

The 18th Annual Fiercely Independent Woodstock Film Festival wrapped up on Sunday with the closing night film ARTHUR MILLER: WRITER which was followed by a Q&A with director Rebecca Miller.

Mercury Rising, the Mercury Theatre's £8.9m refurbishment and extension project, has received unanimous approval from Colchester Borough Council's planning committee. The project aims to modernise and transform our much-loved theatre, safeguarding its future for the whole community.
