WGN America announced today that William Petersen ('CSI: Crime Scene Investigation') has joined the cast of its critically acclaimed drama 'Manhattan,' marking his return to television after his celebrated Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated 10-year run as Dr. Gilbert 'Gil' Grissom in the hit series 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.' Produced by Lionsgate Television, Skydance Television and Tribune Studios, 'Manhattan' will begin production on its second season in New Mexico in April for a 2015 debut on WGN America.

WGN America's critically acclaimed drama 'Manhattan' won the 2015 SXSW Jury Award for Excellence in Title Design, besting 22 other film and television finalists, including 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' (Marvel Studios), 'American Horror Story 4: Freakshow' (FX), 'Godzilla' (Warner Bros.), '22 Jump Street' (Columbia Pictures) and 'The Leftovers' (HBO). LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ WGN America's critically acclaimed drama 'Manhattan' increased its audience in Live + 3 viewing for last Sunday's premiere night, growing to more than 2.2 million Total Viewers (+24%), 796,000 Adults 25-54 (+31%) and 634,000 Adults 18-49 (+38%), for its three-play gross telecasts on WGN America and 14 of Tribune's local stations. The telecast aired in all of Tribune's 33 markets; however, the remaining 19 markets do not receive daily demographic data. WGN America, Tribune's (TRBAA:OTC) flagship entertainment network, covers 61.7% of U.S. households.

Signature Theatre is pleased to announce the casting of award winner Christine Lahti (Running on Empty, Swing Shift,Chicago Hope) in this fall's world-premiere drama Pride in the Falls of Autrey Mill, written by Paul Downs Colaizzo (Really Really). Lahti, whose acclaimed 30-year career in theatre, television and film places her in the highest echelon of American actresses, joins this fall's production under the direction of Shakespeare Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Kahn, who returns to Signature for the first time in nearly twenty years. FX has picked up its critically-acclaimed drama The Americans for a 13-episode second season, it was announced today by John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks. The most recent drama to join the network's coveted roster of hit original series, the renewal comes just four episodes into The Americans' freshman season. There are nine all-new episodes remaining in the current season airing Wednesdays at 10:00 PM E/P with the season finale schedule to air on May 1.
