As previous reported, Oscar winning producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will produce a new project created by Hairspray's Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman in collaboration with Showtime and Steven Spielberg to 'put on a show about putting on a Broadway show.'

Tocqueville Restaurant and Eating Their Words, the one-of-a-kind company that blends the performing and culinary arts, announce the exquisite menu for their special Valentine's Day lunch event. Tocqueville and Eating Their Words' October collaboration was a sold-out success. For this intimate holiday event, Tocqueville's Executive Chef and owner, Marco Moreira, joins forces with playwrights Theresa Rebeck (Pulitzer finalist, Mauritius), Jonathan Marc Sherman (Things We Want), and Sam Forman (The Rise and Fall of Annie Hall). Three original plays, performed between the courses they inspired, are brought to life by Tony Award nominee Isabel Keating (The Boy from Oz), Christopher Evan Welch (Festen, Vicky Cristina Barcelona), Austin Lysy (The American Plan), and Aya Cash (Killers and Other Family). Following a bestselling week at the box office, Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is pleased to announce a two-week extension of Theresa Rebeck's new comedy The Understudy, directed by Scott Ellis.

Stephen Sondheim turns 80 on Monday, March 22nd, 2010 and he will celebrate this landmark event with Roundabout Theatre Company at a special performance of Sondheim on Sondheim and star-studded tribute at Roundabout's 2010 Spring Gala: Sondheim 80.

Stage and screen veteran Victor Garber is currently in previews for his new show, the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Noël Coward's 'Present Laughter 'playing at the American Airlines Theatre. Garber plays aging matinee idol 'Garry Essendine' who has his hands full in dealing with a rather high-maintenance group of friends.

Aya Cash, Isabel Keating, Austin Lysy, and Christopher Evan Welch will be a part of the Valentine's Day presentation of EATING THEIR WORDS. The event will take place at Tocqueville Restaurant and will present a menu with each course based on one of three different plays. The plays will be presented in tandem with the different courses. Marlo Hunter will direct the evening.

Actors Theatre of Louisville present an adaptation of 'Crime and Punishment', as three actors play out Dostoevsky's classic tale as a 90-minute psychological drama-feverishly reliving the events leading up to the grisly crime, uncovering a fascinating mind and motive, and exploring the tenuous path toward redemption. The show runs from January 5 to January 31.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to present the New York premiere of Theresa Rebeck's new comedy The Understudy, directed by Scott Ellis featuring Mark-Paul Gosselaar (TNT's 'Raising the Bar') as 'Jake', Justin Kirk (Showtime's 'Weeds') as 'Harry' and Tony Award winner Julie White as 'Roxanne'.

The Understudy opens officially on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This is a limited engagement through Sunday, January 3rd, 2010.
