Kate Mulgrew and Anne-Cecilie Engell Speyer host Vineyard Theatre's Annual Emerging Artists Luncheon today, September 30, from noon-2pm at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan.

KIM DAVID SMITH -- the Australian stage performer -- conjures the glitter and doom of Weimar-era Berlin with STARGAZING, a genre-mashing, electro-cabaret fantasia, premiering at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street, New York), on Thursday, October 8 at 9:30 PM.

The New Group has announced complete casting for the world premiere of STEVE, a new play by Mark Gerrard.  Directed by Cynthia Nixon, this production features Ashlie Atkinson and Francisco Pryor Garat, and as announced, Mario Cantone, Jerry Dixon, Malcolm Gets and Matt McGrath. A limited Off-Broadway engagement plays November 3 - December 27 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street), with Official Opening Night set for Wednesday, November 18.

At the Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St.), Soho Rep. and Ars Nova will present the New York premiere of Cesar Alvarez's Futurity, a new, avant-Americana musical with music by Alvarez and The Lisps, and lyrics and book by Alvarez. Directed by Soho Rep. Artistic Director Sarah Benson, the production will feature 13 actor-musicians. The production is presented in association with Carole Shorenstein Hays.

A familiar face on TV comedies, Myrin is now getting laughs on stage at the Public.

The Tony Award-winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I, directed by Bartlett Sher, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street), welcomes a new leader tonight, September 29.

The Public Theater presents the American play Eclipsed, written by Danai Gurira. Directed by Obie Award winner Liesl Tommy and featuring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o in her New York stage debut, this powerful story of survival and resilience begins previews at The Public Theater tonight, September 29, and will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, November 29 with an official press opening on Wednesday, October 14.

Directed by Signature's Director of New Works Joe Calarco (Signature's Gypsy, Shakespeare's R&J) this hilarious new musical is a battle-of-the-sexes set at the 50th Annual Millberry Cake-Off competition. Joe's Pub at The Public has announced its nightly performances from October 1-11, 2015.

On Tuesday, September 29, immediately upon completion of filming his starring role on the fourth season of the Cinemax series 'Banshee,' Hoon Lee will join Tony winner Kelli O'Hara and the company to assume the role of The King, which was originated for this production by Tony Award nominee Ken Watanabe. Oscar and Tony Award winner Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King, Lost in Yonkers) now brings 'The Empress of Fashion' back in FULL GALLOP. Written by Mark Hampton and Mary Louise Wilson and directed by Andrew Russell, FULL GALLOP will run tonight, September 26, through October 25, 2015, with opening night on Thursday, October 1 at 8:00 p.m., in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Marcia Pendelton, founder and president of Walk Tall Girl Productions has announced the 15th anniversary celebration of her company. On Monday, September 28, 2015, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Pendelton and her friends from the performing arts, fashion and media will join forces to celebrate her company's work to bring diverse audiences to the arts, on Broadway and beyond.
