TinyRhino Returns to The Brooklyn Lyceum Tonight, 5/14
By: BWW News Desk
TinyRhino is UglyRhino's take on the ten-minute play evening. Each month we commission six short plays each including the same five dramatic elements. On the night of the performance, these elements are revealed to the audience as cues to drink. That's right: we've created a theatrical drinking game. The elements in May range from "a sales transaction" to "someone ties their shoes", ensuring a dynamic collection of new plays.
This month's installment features new work by various emerging directors and playwrights. Playwrights include Katharine Henner (Night in Ultraviolet webseries), Michael Ruby (American Harmony Prize winner for Love, NY), and Leila Sales (a twice published novelist by Simon and Shuster). Directors include Nicole Rosner (UglyRhino Artistic Director), Morgan Gould (Associate Director, Young Jean Lee's Theater Company), Erik Pearson (Studio 42, HERE Arts), Mary Birnbaum (However Long the Night, Old Vic), and UglyRhino regular Stephanie Sherline (who composed music for last summer's world premiere of Kyle Warren's #nyc).Morgan Gould, Julia Holleman, Katharine Henner, Michael Ruby, Leila Sales, and Moe YousufThe May Directors:
