Last summer, The Public Theater, Michael Friedman, and Alex Timbers reunited to gift New York City with a free production of LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Like their BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, the team used brilliant and inspired anachronisms to make the Shakespearean comedy relevant for modern audiences. They also did it as a musical. Now Ghostlight Records has released the audaciously quirky LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST (Original Cast Recording) for us all to enjoy.

The OBIE Award-winning Theater:Village festival, which is presented by Axis Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, New Ohio Theatre, and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, returns for its second year, September 4 - October 5. Following last year's The Hill Town Plays, which presented five works by the playwright Lucy Thurber, this year's festival, titled E Pluribus, will feature four new plays celebrating the diversity of America.

Bryce Pinkham, the Tony-nominated co-star of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, will host Broadway Sings Its Heart Out, a one-night-only, star-studded concert benefitting Zara Aina - the organization founded by Mr. Pinkham and Lucas Rooney that offers children in Madagascar the tools to succeed as students and story tellers by delivering school supplies to their villages and producing their original works of theatre.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced the addition of two new plays to its 2014-2015 season: THE MYSTERY OF LOVE AND SEX by Bathsheba Doran, to be directed by Sam Gold, which begins previews Thursday, February 5, and opens on Monday, March 2, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater; and the LCT3 production of VERITE by Nick Jones, to be directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, beginning Saturday, January 31 through Sunday, March 15, and opening on Wednesday, February 18 at the Claire Tow Theater.

California Shakespeare Theater announced today that it will present the world premiere of The Great Tragedies: Mike Daisey Takes on Shakespeare, October 2 through October 12 at the Bruns Amphitheater.

Following a sold out run in New York, US actress, comedian and writer Lucie Pohl takes her show 'Hi, Hitler' directed by Solonova's Jessi D. Hill to 59E59 Theatre before making her Edinburgh Festival debut at the prestigious Gilded Balloon for the month of August. The show runs today, July 10-13, 8:30 p.m. Thursday - Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Theatre C.

Continuing its 40th Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre's artistic director Jen Waldman will direct, Little Shop of Horrors by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, today, July 10 until July 26, 2014. This hilarious musical, based off of the 1960 movie, is cosmic fun for the whole family. With toe tapping tunes and a carnivorous alien planet, this show is sure to entertain. The Bard SummerScape festival is proud to present the world premiere of Love in the Wars, an adaptation of Heinrich von Kleist's romantic drama Penthesilea by the Booker Prize-winning novelist John Banville. Starring Obie Award-winner Birgit Huppuch and One Life to Live's Chris Stack, Bard's premiere production is by Ken Rus Schmoll, the Obie Award-winning director. Representing a fresh, playful and earthy take on Kleist's original, Love in the Wars will be presented in two previews and eight performances between today, July 10 and 20 in Theater Two of the Fisher Center - designed byFrank Gehry and celebrated since its opening as a major architectural landmark - on Bard's glorious Hudson Valley campus.

This musical, written and directed by the renowned Luis Caballero, tells the tale of struggle and triumph for one of baseball's greatest players, Roberto Clemente. Beginning on the day of his death, this musical chronicles Clemente's life from enduring poverty and racism to becoming an inspiration for generations to come. Chester Theatre Company celebrates its 25th Anniversary Season with a special production of the one-woman comedy HIGH DIVE by Leslie Ayvazian. The production, which runs from July 22th through July 24th at the Chester Town Hall in Chester, MA, will feature CTC favorite Jennifer Rohn in her sixth CTC appearance.

Imelda Marcos is a ripe public figure for having a biographic musical written about her. Personally, I always expected a musical about her life would have that grand and epic cinematic sound of Andrew Lloyd Webber's EVITA. However, I couldn't be more pleased with David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's rich pop score for HERE LIES LOVE.

Will Eno's new play The Realistic Joneses played its final performance of the limited run on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at 3:00 pm, having played 27 previews and 105 performances for a total of 132 performances. It began performances Thursday, March 13, 2014, with an official opening night on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at the Lyceum Theatre (149 W 45th Street).
