Conceived specifically for Edward Hopper's former home, the exhibition explores the relationship between positive and negative space through a variety of media, including ceramic sculpture and drawing.

Three teams of new opera composers and librettists—John Liberatore and Niloufar Talebi, Jake Runestad and David Johnston, and Rene Orth and Jason Kim—will premiere new 20-minute operas, each based on a contemporary American story, in a semi-staged concert performance on November 21, 2014 in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) today announced that its trailblazing Element brand is headed to Syracuse, New York. Element Syracuse Inner Harbor will open in early 2018 as part of a massive waterfront redevelopment project along the former Barge Canal. Element Syracuse Inner Harbor will be located adjacent to Aloft Syracuse Inner Harbor, which is set to open in 2015. Both hotels are owned and developed by COR Development Company, LLC, and will be managed by Real Hospitality Group.

The Araca Group has announced the seven shows that will comprise the 2014 Araca Project season, lasting from September 7th until November 2nd at the American Theatre of Actors. Led by Matthew Rego, Michael Rego, and Hank Unger, The Araca Group is a New York City-based Broadway production and merchandising that has served, among others, Wicked, Urinetown, Rock of Ages, Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge. DRG Records celebrates the release of Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway: Comes Out Swinging! (2014 Un-Original Cast Album) which is produced by Grammy Award winner Hugh Fordin, and is available in stores and online today, July 22nd.
