Tonight, October 23rd is opening night for Radd Theatre Co.'s first off-broadway production, Out of the Basement, beginning 7:00pm at the American Theater for Actors. Writer and artistic director, Danny Coates-Finke, describes the play as 'A scary, sometimes funny, always exciting journey down the rabbit-hole of masculinity and its consequences'. Show has limited run, today, October 23rd - October 26th.

The Actors' Fund of Canada and members of the National Touring Companies of WICKED and THE BOOK OF MORMON will host DON'T STOP BELIEVIN', an evening of song and dance, at the Panasonic Theatre on Monday, October 27. The performance starts at 8:00 PM with the VIP Plus reception beginning at 6:30 PM. The Panasonic Theatre is located at 651 Yonge Street, Toronto. Net proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and the Actors' Fund of Canada.

Syracuse Stage Guild to Host National Conference for Theatre Volunteers, 10/23-25

The Syracuse Stage Guild is proud to be hosting the 2014 gathering of CAVORT Inc. (Conference About Volunteers of Regional Theatre) October 23-25. This national, multi-day event will feature presentations and discussions with senior administrators and arts advocates from Syracuse Stage, Syracuse University, and Central New York. The keynote speaker is Bob Moss, former artistic director at Syracuse Stage and founder of Playwrights Horizons in New York City.

VH Theatrical Development Foundation proudly announces the Off-Broadway premiere of THE BRIGHTNESS OF HEAVEN, a new play by acclaimed author Laura Pedersen, directed by Ludovica Villar-Hauser. THE BRIGHTNESS OF HEAVEN will be performed tonight, October 16th through Sunday, December 14th at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre (38 Commerce Street, Manhattan). Charlie Pollock and Mary Kate Morrissey Star in Signature Theatre's ELMER GANTRY, Beginning Tonight

Signature Theatre presents Elmer Gantry, a musical version of Sinclair Lewis' best-selling novel, directed by Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Follies, Million Dollar Quartet). Schaeffer collaborated on the last production of Elmer Gantry at Marriott's Lincolnshire Theatre in Chicago with authors John Bishop (book), Mel Marvin (music) and Bob Satuloff (lyrics) in 1998; the show has not been produced since then. This will be the 5th production in the show's history. Running in the MAX Theatre today, October 7 - November 9, Signature's production will include several brand new songs by Mel Marvin and Bob Satuloff and a reimagined script that John Bishop worked on until his death in 2006.

Playwrights Horizons announced the appointment of Liz Fallon Culp as the institution's new Director of Development. Ms. Culp joins the acclaimed theater company direct from New York Public Radio (WNYC/WQXR), where she served as the Senior Director of Major Gifts and Legacy Giving. She began with the theater company this month, leading its seven-person Development department.

The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster. The concert, "Fantastic Conversations," will include music by Mozart (the Sonata in D, K. 448), Schubert (Fantasie in F Mino), and Bach, and 20th-century composers Darius Milhaud, Francis Poulenc and William Elden Bolcom.
