Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will present South Pacific from today, June 12-22 at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452). South Pacific will open Reagle's 46th Annual Summer Season, followed by Me and My Girl (July 10-20) and Singin' In the Rain (August 7-17).

Between graduating from Syracuse University in 2005, and getting her Broadway break opposite Harry Connick, Jr., in 2011, Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller was a Chicago-based actress, following in the steps of her Evanston-based parents, Roger Mueller and Jill Shellabarger. And what a career she had in the Windy City!

Graduation season is upon us, and with it, commencement speeches. With any luck, every graduate will be moved by his or her commencement speaker to look at the big, daunting world and go forth with confidence; for those not so lucky, a few favored speeches of recent years are available in print.

Bay Street Theatre presents the World Premiere of CONVICTION (Today, May 27-June 15) by Carey Crim and directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street's new Artistic Director. Students from Fowler, Henninger, Nottingham and Fayetteville-Manlius High Schools produced short films that will be presented at Syracuse Stage during a premiere viewing and reception beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, May 20. The screening is free and open to the public.

The Rock & The Ripe (established as a theatrical play, book, and movement in Chicago in 2012) is producing their first East Coast staged reading of the rock & the ripe at Hetrick-Martin Institute on May 17, 2014. The audience will be a conglomerate of students and youth from Hetrick Martin Institute's Harvey Milk High School and Rosie's Theater Kids as well as a selection of LGBTQA leaders and artists living and working in NYC.

Guest conductor Jack Everly joins the Utah Symphony this weekend, May 2-3 for a trip down memory lane at Abravanel Hall.
