Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA has announced the world premiere of Land Line, a new play by Stephen Dierkes, directed by William Charlton, and featuring Katherine Cortez, John Dennis Johnston, Gary Patent, and Peter James Smith. Land Line is set to open Saturday, June 14 at 8pm and the limited engagement will run through July 21.

PATTI ISSUES, the hit Off-Broadway play is set to play Miami Beach on Friday, May 9th at 8pm (presented by legendary Broadway and concert producer-director Richard Jay-Alexander in association with Edison Farrow and South Beach Cabaret) at The Cabaret South Beach (233 12th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139).

June 14 and 15, Pontine Theatre presents the first annual Portsmouth Puppetry Festival at the West End Studio Theatre. Moliere's boisterous romp Scapin hits the New York stage this summer in a visionary revival helmed by Scott Ripley. The show runs May 28 - June 8 at Theatre Row and is produced by Adele Domo/Varano Produzioni.

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, has announced the appointment of Giovanna Sardelli to the position of Director of New Works. Sardelli brings stellar national directing credits and close ties with many of today's hottest rising playwrights to the company, which has established itself as a leader in cultivating and producing new works. The 2014 Clarence Derwent Award for most promising female and male performers on the New York metropolitan scene has gone to Whitney Bashor and Steven Boyer. The announcement was made by Arne Gundersen, president of the Actors' Equity Foundation, which administers the award.

Florida Studio Theatre announces the opening of the first show in the Summer Mainstage Season Pump Boys and Dinettes, book, lyrics, and music by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel, and Jim Wann.
