The Apollo Theater today announced details of its upcoming 2017-2018 season. Marking the first full season with Executive Producer Kamilah Forbes at the helm of the legendary theater's artistic and community programs, it will encompass commissions, premieres, and collaborations with local, national, and international artists working across a range of disciplines and genres-from dance and theater to jazz, soul, and opera.

From Australia's Soul Capital comes two of Melbourne's outstanding vocalists, Fulton Street's Shannen Wick and jazz, soul, rhythm and blues vocalist, Vanessa Fernandez, performing together for one night only in Black is Vinly; bringing a mix of old, new and original soul on Thursday 15 June 2017 at Paris Cat.

Laguna Playhouse is thrilled to announce the fifth show in the Laguna Playhouse 2016-2017 season, a world premiere musical KING OF THE ROAD: THE ROGER MILLER STORY, written by Cort Casady & Mary Arnold Miller, music by Roger Miller, musical direction by Omar D. Additionally, the group scored number one hits with Things and Time, Jah Jah, Old Broom, and Shark Attack. The Wailing Souls' recording career has been nothing short of historic.

Saxophonist and clarinetist Victor Goines joins director Andy Clausen and the New York Youth Symphony Jazz Band for its season finale on Sunday, May 7th at the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center at 3:30pm.

The worlds of art, music, and poetry will come together as students, who are blind or visually impaired, from Lighthouse Guild's Filomen M. D'Agostino Greenberg Music School perform in concert at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Friday, April 28, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium.

With summer just around the corner it's time to announce Friday Fest '17, theFREE outdoor summertime concert series, at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall!
