?On Monday, May 4, 2015, The New York Pops celebrates its 32nd birthday with a grand gala evening honoring three-time Tony Award-winning director-choreographer Kathleen Marshall and Academy Award-nominated director-choreographer Rob Marshall. Later tonight, The New York Pops - a symphonic orchestra known for presenting popular programs of exceptional quality - will launch its 32nd season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with All You Need is Love: The Music of The Beatles. Music Director Steven Reineke - described by The New York Times as a 'polished, welcoming host' who is 'young and vigorous, with a playful attitude' - will lead the orchestra in an opening night celebration of The Beatles' greatest hits recreated by the acclaimed Finnish vocal ensemble Rajaton. The concert will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's arrival in America. Concertgoers can expect to hear fresh renditions of Beatles songs including 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,' 'Yesterday,' 'She Loves You,' and 'Let It Be,' among others. On Monday, October 6, 2014 five-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara and Drama Desk nominee Steven Pasquale will perform an intimate benefit concert titled Kelli O'Hara and Friends at 54 Below, located at 254 West 54th Street. The evening is a joint benefit in support of PopsEd Programs at Ronald McDonald House® New York, which provide creative outlets to the children and families in residence. Hosted by Steven Reineke, Music Director of The New York Pops, the evening will also feature performances by children participating in the PopsEd programs at Ronald McDonald House® New York, along with some special surprise guests. The benefit will start with a champagne reception at 5:30PM followed by dinner and a performance at 6:30PM.

This September, Carnegie Hall's Judith and Burton Resnick Education Wing opens to the public, providing a new home within the Hall's landmark building for a wide range of music education and community programs created by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute (WMI) and Ensemble ACJW. Young musicians, families, students, and teachers can have the opportunity to share musical experiences in 24 new inspirational spaces dedicated to music education on Carnegie Hall's upper floors. Activities housed in the new 61,000-square-foot wing will include interactive and educational musical events for families; programs for New York City students and music teachers; rehearsals and training for Ensemble ACJW fellows; workshops and master classes for young musicians; and professional development activities for educators, WMI teaching artists, and performers.

Leonard Bernstein titled a book 'The Joy Of Music'. The first time I attended a New York Pops concert with Steven Reineke at the helm that's the first thing I thought of. By the time the last note was played I realized the Pops new music director was much more than that. Steven also represents The Joy Of Life. Then, Steven met Eric, an equivalently matched person with whom to travel on life's journey.
