Sue Matsuki is a 10-time MAC Award Nominee and 3-time Winner (in 6 different categories); the very first (2004) recipient of the Julie Wilson Award given by the Mabel Mercer Foundation (chosen by Julie herself) and a 20 year Cabaret/Jazz singing veteran who has played every NYC Cabaret room including Feinstein's at the Regency and several of the major Jazz Clubs including the legendary Village Gate, Birdland, The Iridium and Sweet Rhythm. Sue has performed all across the U.S. from Alaska to Las Vegas to Maine! Sue is also a writer, reviewer, producer, teacher, coach, comedian, host and an award-winning songwriter.

On Monday, January 21, Stephen Wallem, the actor/singer best known for his role as Thor on the Emmy-winning television series "Nurse Jackie" stormed the Broadway at Birdland stage with Schwartz And All, a musical tribute to composer Stephen Schwartz.

Tonight, October 10th at 9:00 PM, Justin Matthew Sargent - star of the Broadway smash hit ROCK OF AGES - comes to the Triad in an original program titled JUSTIN SARGENT'S COVERED IN ROCK, featuring an all-star band playing classic rock as you've never heard it.

On October 4 at 7 PM, world-renowned, classically trained German cabaret singer and Broadway star Ute Lemper will debut a new, original song cycle inspired by the love poems of 20th century Chilean poet Pablo Neruda (1904-1973). Conceived and composed by Lemper herself in collaboration with Marcelo Nisinman, Ute Lemper Sings Pablo Neruda will continue at Joe's Pub throughout the month of October with dates on October 4, 5, 6, 30 and 31. Joining Lemper for the run at Joe's Pub are Tito Castro and JP Jofre on Bandoneon, John Benthal on Guitar, Steve Millhouse on Bass and Andy Ezrin on Piano.

Featuring a collection of brand new twisted Valentines Day tunes, the concert is set for the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Monday, February 13th at 7pm. Expect to hear songs with titles like 'Cupid is the Most Dangerous Baby', 'Fired From Hallmark', and 'Chocolate Boyfriend'.

Playing through Saturday, March 26, Mr. Hodge returns to New York to offer an evening of great American story songs, including some of his own compositions from the new musical, Meantime. For the act, he plays piano, guitar, and sings with support from a 3-piece band: Sonny Paladino (piano/musical director), Steve Millhouse (bass), and Jared Schonig (drums).

In light of the recent string of suicides among young gay men in our country, The Laurie Beechman Theatre is humbled to present It Gets Better: Broadway Supports The Trevor Project. The 6pm concert will host some of Broadway's leading voices, lending their support to this vital organization that provides suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.
