The company's current offering - MACBETH - is no exception to the rule. The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) Education Department is in the classroom at10 area middle- and high schools, where 'The Macbeth Project' is augmenting standard curriculum with dynamic teaching tools. The collaboration between Gamm teaching artists and educators in select Pawtucket, Central Falls and Providence public and charter schools (see list below) is supported by a prestigious $25,000 Shakespeare in American Communities grant managed by Arts Midwest in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre Announces Rhode Island Teaching Artists Center

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) in collaboration withRhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) is pleased to announce the creation of the Rhode Island Teaching Artists Center (RITAC) aimed at connecting Rhode Island-based teaching artists with job opportunities in the public and private sector. The center, funded by a $29,900 grant from the Rhode Island Foundation, will be housed at and administered by The Gamm Theatre. RISCA will be providing additional funds, as well as staff assistance.

This pairing of a favorite comedy with a famous tragedy is the culmination of a 4-week 'extreme' theater training camp for high-school students from Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Amgen Foundation Funds Gamm Theatre Outreach Program

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre, a professional, nonprofit theater company in Pawtucket, RI, has received a grant of $10,000 from the Amgen Foundation, the charitable arm of Amgen Inc. The grant is in support of The Gamm's education outreach program, Pawtucket Literacy and Arts for Youth (PLAY).
