Arts on the Horizon, the DC metro area's only theatre company dedicated exclusively to creating original work for children ages 0-6, presents its world-premiere production of SPACE-BOP, running February 10-26, 2016 at The Athenaeum in Alexandria, Virginia, and March 5-12, 2016 at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington, DC as part of the 2016 INTERSECTIONS Festival.

The third show in Laguna Playhouse's 2015-2016 season will be the U.S. Premiere of ACT 3..., written by David Ambrose and Claudia Nellens and directed by Martin Bergman. Rita Rudner and Charles Shaughnessy will star.

Casting has been announced for the Memphis engagement of the First National Tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, the First National Tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL will play The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN January 12 - 17, 2016. Tickets are on sale now.

Main Street Theater (MST) continues its partnership with Prague Shakespeare Company (PSC) in presenting PSC's Venus in Fur by David Ives, directed by Guy Roberts, Artistic Director of Prague Shakespeare Company and native Houstonian. The production marks PSC's most popular show to date: Venus has played to sold out houses as part of their repertoire in Prague for over 18 months as well as enjoying a sold out tour in Budapest, Hungary. Now MST is bringing the show to Houston for a limited run.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company announces Broadway's critically-acclaimed leading man Aaron Lazar (Light in the Piazza, Mamma Mia) will headline its Seventh Annual Valentine's Gala performed at Germantown Performing Arts Center on April 8, 2016 at 6:00 pm.

Rehearsals begin today (Monday, January 4) for Theatre for a New Audience's production of William Shakespeare's Pericles directed by Trevor Nunn, featuring OBIE Award-winner Christian Camargo in the title role and leading a diverse company of 22 actors, Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience Founding Artistic Director, announced.

MST Artistic Director Rebecca Greene Udden directed this production in Prague in January, and now MST is bringing TWELFTH NIGHT to Houston for a limited run.
