THE GLASS MENAGERIE Opens Tonight on Broadway

The 17-week limited engagement of the critically-acclaimed revival of The Glass Menagerie at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street) began performances on September 5, 2013, and opens tonight, Thursday, September 26th. The production stars multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winner Cherry Jones as Amanda Wingfield, film and stage star Zachary Quinto as Tom, two-time Tony-nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J. Smith as Jim, the Gentleman Caller.

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes Centenary Stage Company with the NYC premiere of THE ENGLISH BRIDE, written by Lucile Lichtblau and directed by Carl Wallnau. THE ENGLISH BRIDE begins performances on Wednesday, October 23 for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 17. Press opening is Wednesday, October 30 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; and Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM & 7:30 PM. IATI Theater to Present LIGHT OF NIGHT, 10/10-27

IATI Theater is pleased to announce the World Premiere of Light of Night, written by Cecilia Copeland and directed by Mariana Carreño King. Light of Night will run for only 12 performances at IATI Theater (64 East 4th Street). Performances begin Tuesday, October 10th and continue through Sunday, October 27th. DECODING THE TABLECLOTH Set for United Solo Festival, 10/5 & 11/10

Decoding the Tablecloth, the critically acclaimed hit of the New York International Fringe Festival, will be presented at The United Solo Festival on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street) on Saturday, October 5th at 9 p.m., and Sunday, November 10th at 2 p.m. Written and performed by Gabriela Kohen, the show was co-conceived and directed by Connie Grappo. Selected as 'Outstanding Solo Show,' and named one of the top picks of the Fringe by New York Magazine, Decoding the Tablecloth played to sold-out houses during its initial run, and was extended by audience demand. It travels now to the United Solo Festival on Theatre Row.

California Shakespeare Theater Presents A WINTER'S TALE, Now thru 10/20

California Shakespeare Theater has announced it will conclude its 2013 season with one of Shakespeare's rarely-performed gems, A Winter's Tale. Directed by Patricia McGregor and choreographed by Paloma McGregor, the sister team responsible for last season's critical and popular hit, Spunk, A Winter's Tale plays at the Bruns Amphitheater from tonight, September 25 through October 20.

Jason Robert Brown's musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS boasts a small cast of two, but tells a tale to remember. With a movie in the works, the show is a force to be reckoned with. The show's 2013 Off-Broadway production at Second Stage Theatre starring Betsy Wolfe and Adam Kantor is no different. Dr. Barbara Ann Teers's National Black Theatre (NBT) will open its 45th Season with the New York Premiere of The Last Saint On Sugar Hill, written by Keith Josef Adkins and directed by Seret Scottannounced NBT's Director of Theatre Arts Program, Jonathan McCrory. Cleveland Play House (CPH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Kepley as Artistic Director. Kepley has served as CPH Interim Artistic Director since May, following three seasons as Associate Artistic Director. The CPH Board of Directors will introduce Kepley as Artistic Director at a CPH Community Gathering at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013. The event is free, open to the general public, and will take place in the Second Stage at PlayhouseSquare.

Jerry Ruiz (Love Goes to Press, Basilica) directs a cast that includes Cliff Bemis, Teddy Bergman, Bernardo Cubria, Carole Healey, Christine Toy Johnson, Kathryn Kates (replacing the previously announced Jennifer Harmon), Natalie Kuhn, Brian MacDonald, Jennifer McVey and Rachel Moulton. Philip Goes Forth will have scenic design by Steven C. Kemp, costume design by Carisa Kelly, lighting design by Christian DeAngelis, and sound design by Toby Algya. Performances began on August 24th and continue through October 20th. Opening Night is set for tonight, September 22nd at Mint's home (311 West 43rd Street). TAMAR OF THE RIVER Begins Tonight Off-Broadway

Jeremy Greenbaum (The Fantasticks) and Aaron Komo complete the cast of Prospect Theater Company's upcoming world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson, book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen and direction by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Previously announced cast members include Margo Seibert (set to make her Broadway debut as 'Adrian' in ROCKY on Broadway in Spring 2014) as Tamar, with Ako (Throne of Blood), Erik Lochtefeld (February House), Mike Longo (Hair) and Vince B. Vincent (Geography of Loss), and Jen Anaya, Adam Bashian, Margot Bassett, Troy Burton, Tamrin Goldberg and Mary Kate Morrissey.
