The beloved, Tony Award-winning actress Marian Seldes will be honored at the 2011 LOVE 'N' COURAGE Gala - a benefit for the award-winning Theater for the New City's Emerging Playwrights Program - on Monday, February 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South in Manhattan), it has been announced by Crystal Field, co-founder and artistic director of Theater for the New City.

Huntington Theatre Company announces casting for its world premiere production of Sons of the Prophet by Stephen Karam (columbinus, Speech & Debate), directed by Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (Becky Shaw at the Almeida Theatre - London, Off Broadway, and the Huntington; Vengeance is the Lord's; Trust). Drama Desk Award winner Santino Fontana (The Importance of Being Earnest, Billy Elliot, Brighton Beach Memoirs) plays Joseph, a former runner now dealing with health issues and the recent death of his father. According to the NY Times, Cherry Lane Theatre's Angelina Fiordellisi, will resign as Artistic Director sometime between March and June of 2011. Additionally, Fiordellisi plans to sell the building, which has been a Greenwich Village staple since 1924, due to ongoing financial struggles.

Convergence-continuum, concludes its 2010 Season at the Liminis theatre with the world premiere of APORKALYPSE! - our not-for-the-kiddies holiday show by Cleveland playwright and con-con company member Chris Johnston. Christmas, Marines AWOL from Iraq, a Persian love goddess and corporate American agri-business all collide down at Pawpaw's pig farm. And since it's the holiday season, there's some singing and accordion playing, too. For the three-week run, we've added 7 pm Sunday performances in addition to our usual Thu-Sat 8 pm shows.
