Grammy-winning, smoky-voiced Lila Downs, daughter of a Mixtec Indian woman who ran away from her village to sing in Mexico City cantinas and a Minnesota-born Scottish-American arts professor who fell in love with her there, comes to Jorgensen on Thursday, May 2, packing her eclectic world music bag of treats.

A new production of Hikobae, a play about the medical staff who risked their lives following the devastating earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disasters that struck Japan on March 11, 2011 will premiere in Los Angeles tonight, March 30th & the 31st and New York on April 5th & 6th. Hikobae honors the first responders and those who lost their lives in the disaster. The significance of remembering the victims and sacrifices of the first responders is particularly relevant two years following the events of 3/11.

The 8th annual post-Oscar telecast of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Oscars" was up over the prior year for the 2nd year in a row, growing by 15% in Total Viewers (5.786 million vs. 5.035 million) and by 9% in Adults 18-49 (2.031 million vs. 1.864 million), marking "JKL's" most-watched post-Oscar telecast ever. Host Jimmy Kimmel welcomed Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum. Kimmel also debuted the trailer to "Movie: The Movie Twovie," the highly anticipated sequel to "Movie: The Movie," starring among others Bradley Cooper, Jessica Chastain, Jude Law, Salma Hayek, John Krasinski and Samuel L. Jackson.
