The Players Club of Swarthmore's Children's Theater Series continues the summer fun with the Children's Series musical comedy The Near-Sighted Knight and the Far-Sighted Dragon, directed by Ryan Goulden. Performances are July 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. on the Raymond W. Smith Stage at Players Club of Swarthmore, 614 Fairview Rd. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for children and free for children under age 3. Buy tickets at www.pcstheater.org or at the door. Running time is 50 minutes.

The Players Club of Swarthmore will present the Angels in America, Part II: Perestroika, by Tony Kushner, Oct. 28 to Nov. 12 for ten performances at The Players Club of Swarthmore, 614 Fairview Ave. in Swarthmore. Buy tickets online at www.pcstheater.org Directed by Dave Ebersole, Perestroika, is the conclusion of Kushner's intimate epic that focuses on the HIV/AIDS epidemic that afflicted the gay community in New York City in the 1980's and depicts the politics and social failures surrounding the disease and its emergence in the United States. The Players Club of Swarthmore presented Part I: Millennium Approaches last season to great critical acclaim.

Abbey Rose Gould and Presley Ryan are presenting 'Songs4Sloan' a one night only benefit concert to benefit pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Both girls have lost family members to cancer and decided to help raise funds for research at the hospital where Presley's grandfather was treated. Songs4Sloan will be performed by the girls and their friends from the Broadway/NYC theatre community on Monday May 11 at 7pm at the Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street), New York, New York.
