A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN (MOON), by Pulitzer Prize winner and Nobel Laureate Eugene O'Neill, continues Rubicon Theatre Company's 16th Season helmed by Artistic Associate Jenny Sullivan with company member Joseph Fuqua in the role of James Tyrone. (The production marks the 23rd collaboration for Sullivan and Fuqua, who have worked together at Rubicon on productions including Hamlet, You Can't Take It With You and Old Wicked Songs.) Other cast members are Rebekah Tripp, Granville Van Dusen, Scott Roberts and Matthew Grondin. Opening Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., MOON runs Wednesdays through Sundays until April 6th with low-priced previews on Wednesday, March 12th at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 13th at 8 p.m. and Friday, March 14th at 8 p.m.

Bay Street Theatre has announce the three 2014 Mainstage Season productions, complete with two world premieres and a modern comedic classic! The season begins on May 27 and runs through August 31. Subscriptions are available by calling the Box Office at 631-725-9500 or online at www.baystreet.org.

Rubicon Theatre continues the company's 16th Not Your Typical Season with sardines and lingerie in NOISES OFF, a comic romp by Michael Frayn about the outrageous exploits of a company of actors which opens tonight, February 1, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Rubicon Theatre, 1006 E. Main Street in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. The production continues Wednesdays through Sundays through February 23, with low-priced previews on Wednesday, January 29 at 7 p.m., Thursday, January 30 at 8 p.m. and Friday, January 31 at 8 p.m.

On Friday, January 24, Broadway producersKen Davenport (Kinky Boots, Macbeth, Godspell) and Michael Jackowitz (How To Succeed in Business..., Seance on a Wet Afternoon) will present private industry presentations of the acclaimed new chamber musical DADDY LONG LEGS in midtown Manhattan.

Move over Grinch; Santa Claus is coming to town and taking up residence at Rubicon Theatre in Ventura! Rubicon's November/ December HOLIDAY CENTRAL calendar offers a sparkling array of more than 35 shows and events for all ages. The festivities begin with the return of a holiday revue with six Broadway singers and a local children's chorus; followed by a late-night adult comedy presented in a cabaret setting; a poetic reading of wartime love letters; and culminating with an enchanting new musical from the Tony and Olivier Award-winning director of Les Miserables and Nicholas Nickleby and the creators of Jane Eyre and Daddy Long Legs, who will have a five-week residency at Rubicon during the holidays.

While his tenure has not officially begun, new Artistic Director Scott Schwartz has already announced the start of his plans for a newly reinvigorated Bay Street Theatre for 2014, complete with a World Premiere and an American classic.

Rubicon Theatre Company is expanding its reach into several Ventura County communities as it plays host to 150 children and family members from surrounding areas. On November 29th, The Angel Heart Foundation and Marion Witte are sponsoring an afternoon of activities at Rubicon Theatre for families who have not previously been exposed to a live-theatre production. The event will include a matinee production of A RUBICON FAMILY CHRISTMAS, photos with Santa, Frosty and Rudolph, snacks and refreshments as well as a personalized gift bag for each child.

THE SUNSET LIMITED by Pulitzer Prize-winner Cormac McCarthy opens Rubicon Theatre Company's 16th Season on Saturday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m., just on the heels of the October 25 release of McCarthy's highly anticipated blockbuster film 'The Counselor,' directed by Ridley Scott with an all-star cast including Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz.

This fall, Rubicon Theatre Company welcomes veteran Hollywood actor, writer and teacher Jeffrey Meek to teach the new Acting for Television and Film class. This exciting on-camera workshop gives students the opportunity to hone their skills specifically for the screen. Last month marked the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the decisive battles of the Civil War. The anniversaries of the Battles of Chickamauga and Chattanooga, and the sesquicentennial of Lincoln's Gettysburg address take place over the next few months. Come together and celebrate the talented Rubicon Theatre youth artists as they wrap up the summer with the fifth annual KIDS FOR KIDS BENEFIT CONCERT, a youth produced fundraiser that benefits Rubicon's Education & Outreach program.
