Court Theatre to Stage PROOF, 3/7-4/7

Court Theatre Artistic Director Charles Newell and Executive Director Stephen J. Albert present Proof written by David Auburn, and directed by Charles Newell. Proof will run March 7 - April 7, 2013 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. Press Opening is Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 8:00PM.

Digital Theatre's Next Release Will Be KING LEAR, Starring Jonathan Pryce

Digital Theatre today (12 February 2013) announces its next release - Tony and Olivier Award-winning actor Jonathan Pryce stars in Michael Attenborough's production of William Shakespeare's King Lear. The production, the second collaboration between Digital Theatre and the Almeida Theatre, was captured live in October 2012 during the play's sell-out run.

The BLUEBARN Theatre continues its 2012-2013 Season with A BEHANDING IN SPOKANE by Martin McDonagh, which opens Thursday February 21st and runs through Saturday March 16th. Today, The Almeida Theatre Company Board announced Rupert Goold as the new Artistic Director of the Islington based Almeida Theatre Company.

American Shakespeare Center Only U.S. Theatre Featured in BBC's SHAKESPEARE UNCOVERED Series Tonight

The American Shakespeare Center is the only U.S. theatre company included in the British Broadcasting Corporation's six-part series, 'Shakespeare Uncovered.' The final installment of the series, 'Shakespeare Uncovered: The Tempest with Trevor Nunn,' features the ASC prominently through rehearsal and performance footage from the company's 2011 production of The Tempest as well as interviews with ASC Co-Founder and Artistic Director Jim Warren and actors James Keegan and Miriam Donald Burrows.

Today, February 1, tickets go on sale for the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company's critically acclaimed production of Julius Caesar. The production, directed with a new twist by the RSC's new Artistic Director Gregory Doran, is set in present-day Africa with a cast of highly acclaimed, black British actors and live, contemporary West African music, fostering the resonance of this classic tragedy. Having opened to five-starreviews in the UK last year, the Columbus run is the production's only North American engagement following its New York City premiere in April.
