The New York Times profiles Hollywood producer Robert Evans today, who is the subject of an upcoming Broadway play penned by television writer Jon Robin Baitz, as BroadwayWorld previously reported. The story will surround Evans real life events. In the Times article, Evans discusses how he suffered a stroke and was originally paralyzed on his right side and unable to speak. After much work, Evans has been able to return to his role of successful Hollywood producer.

Kathryn Bigelow won the DGA's Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Hurt Locker. Following the welcome by DGA President Taylor Hackford to an audience of more than 1,600 guests, director/actor Carl Reiner hosted the ceremony.

VIGIL, Starring Stenborg and Gets, Plays Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre 9/20-11/22, Opens 9/29

Producers Angelo Fraboni and Daryl Roth have announced that the New York premiere of Vigil, written by Morris Panych and directed by Stephen DiMenna, will begin performances Sunday, September 20, at 3pm at the DR2 Theatre, 103 East 15 Street, east of Union Square. The opening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29 at 7pm.

Broadway star Jon Tenney has landed a recurring role on the hit television series 'Brothers & Sisters.' Tenney will play a character named Simon, a new love interest for Nora Walker, the character played by Sally Field. Executive producer David Marshall Grant says of the character, 'Nora meets Simon, who is an oncologist at the hospital where Kitty is getting treated, and they start an affair."
