ABC has picked up additional episodes of new and returning series for the 2010-11 Season, it was announced today by Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group. New series 'Better With You' and 'No Ordinary Family' receive full season orders, and additional episodes were ordered for 'Detroit 1-8-7' and returning series 'Brothers & Sisters.'

'Call Mom' - Nora's motherly skills and advice catch the attention of a radio producer who invites her to audition for a new show. But when Nora follows through with the invite, she suddenly finds herself out of her league, competing with a famous personality, Dr. Alexandra Kirby (guest star Debra Monk). A fresh new interpretation of classic 'The Glass Menagerie,' Tennessee Williams' compelling saga of the Wingfield family in the 1940s and their struggle with illusion and reality. Tom, the son, is torn between his role as the family breadwinner and his desire to lead a life of his own; his mother, Amanda (played by Tony Award-winning Judith Ivey), is a former Southern belle trying to maintain her dignity and her control in the gloom of their St. Louis tenement; and Laura, his frail sister, has retreated to an imaginary world caring for her collection of glass animals. Into their lives comes Jim, the Gentleman Caller, who changes the family forever.

EOnline.com reports that Stephen Collins is going to appear in the upcoming season of Brothers & Sisters, the ABC original drama.

The New York Times reports today that Jon Robin Baitz's THE OTHER DESERT CITIES, to be directed by Joe Mantello, will be produced at the Mitzi Newhouse Theatre at Lincoln Center off-Broadway in the 2010-2011 season. The production had been aiming for a Broadway run next year, however, the Baitz has now decided that show show is better suited for a smaller production at the moment, and will open at the Newhouse on January 13, 2011. Previews will begin on December 16, 2010.

This spring, Will Act For Food will be bringing Ten Unknowns, by Jon Robin Baitz, to life for the first time on a Chicago stage. WAFF Executive Director Scott Pasko directs, and the play will feature all original oil paintings by Andrew Jordan.
