Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. (DDTCo.) proudly presents its Season 4 lineup for 2019-2020. The season opens with a very human look at race relations in America with the regional premiere of White Guy on the Bus by Bruce Graham. Following, is another regional premiere, the unrelenting tragedy, The Dead Eye Boy by Angus MacLachlan. Season 4 concludes with the political drama, Farragut North by House of Cards creator, Beau Willimon. All productions will be performed at MATCH in Midtown Houston.

ASCAP, the world leader in performing rights and advocacy for music creators, today kicks off its renowned annual ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop for an historic 30th year. Mentored by Emmy Award-winning composer Richard Bellis and produced by ASCAP Film & TV executives Michael Todd and Jennifer Harmon, the comprehensive 4-week program in Los Angeles is known in Hollywood circles for grooming some of the film and TV industry's top composers, connecting them with agents, music supervisors, attorneys and A-list Hollywood studio executives. The 12 composer participants for this year's program were revealed today.

The 2017-2018 season includes a new English adaptation of Mozart's The Magic Flute to be performed in DC's Scottish Rite Temple, a sizzling double-bill of Cuban zarzuela, and Viktor Ullmann's haunting Emperor of Atlantis. Popular and concert offerings include a Jacques Brel cabaret in French and English, a revue featuring the music of Jerome Kern, the family musical Duke Ellington's Neighborhood and Operetta Holiday, a staged-concert evening of light opera favorites.

Sitting in Rec Room's intimate bar across the hall from the performance space, artistic director Matt Hune explains: 'We want to showcase the epic in a small space; to bring opera to people who would never go to the opera or ballet to people who would never see a ballet. What we're doing is accessible.'
