Nimbus Dance Works announces the third year of its annual holiday tradition: Jersey City Nutcracker. Jersey City Nutcracker tells the story of two children's urban holiday adventure leading them through fantasy, adversity and celebration and teaching them lessons about friendship and community along the way. Choreographed and directed by Nimbus Artistic Director Samuel Pott, this adaption of Tchaikovsky's holiday classic is performed by a stand-out cast of professional dancers from Nimbus Dance Works joined by youth and adults from the community as they portray familiar characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Rat King, the Arabian Princess and Drosselmeyer - all with a Jersey City twist! Amidst colorful sets, costumes, a brightly adorned tree, youth and adults alike are touched by this tale of Christmas spirit.

Upright Citizen Brigade presents The 2017 Tony Awardz, a musical parody by Stephanie Streisand and Rocco Privetera. Evan Greenspoon directs a cast of seven including Stephanie Streisand, Michael Hartney, Richard "Big Rich" Armstead, Adam Bozarth, Caroline Cotter, Matthew Frazier, and Douglas Widick. The 2017 Tony Awardz will run at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, 307 West 26th Street, in New York City tonight, December 17th at 9:30pm.

Dance New Amsterdam(DNA) welcomes back 2011 - 2012 RAW Directions artists Elke Luyten and Kira Alker, as well as DNA faculty member Kendra Portier, joining for the first of two SPLICE series this season. The series provides a collaborative performance setting that juxtaposes contemporary artists that share a common thread, however subtle or tangential. Luyten and Alker's Studies of Inertia is a world premiere encompassing Inertia, Part I, which was performed as part of DNA's last season's RAW Directions program.
