HERE announces its 2014-2015 producing season, commencing Labor Day Weekend with the premiere of the Artistic Director production, Trade Practices, by Kristin Marting & David Evans Morris; and followed by the HERE Resident Artist productions Send for the Million Men by Joseph Silvosky and Bloowst windku by Rebecca Davis. HERE's upcoming season also includes the third annual PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/ Now festival and HERE's yearly CULTUREMART festival, which gives audiences a first look at new work in process from artists in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP). The multidisciplinary productions in HERE's 2014-2015 season represent the culmination of commissions and developmental residencies of up to three years through HARP, and/or the Dream Music Puppetry Program. Trade Practices creates a living market where audience members, cash in hand, choose how to invest their time and money. The acclaimed Days and Nights Festival, founded and curated by Philip Glass, returns for its 2014 edition September 25-28 with four days of performances in Big Sur and Carmel, CA. Highlights of the long weekend include public radio host Ira Glass' new live show, Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host; Brian Greene's Icarus at the Edge of Time accompanied by a live performance of Glass' score conducted by Michael Riesman; an evening of music and spoken word with Glass on piano, spoken word artists Jerry Quickley and Mike Garry, and renowned instrumentalists Tim Fain (vioin), Matt Haimovitz (cello) and Jaron Lanier; and a screening of Visitors, the latest collaboration between Glass and director Godfrey Reggio, accompanied by a live Q&A. Chris Doyle Transforms Times Square Into a Flourishing Canyon with its Animal Inhabitants Throughout July

Chris Doyle will transform the concrete jungle of New York City's Times Square into a flourishing canyon landscape for three minutes every night in July as part of Midnight Moment. The artist's film, titled Bright Canyon, will premiere just beforemidnight on Tuesday, July 1st, and play every night throughout the month from 11:57 p.m. to midnight on Times Square's electronic billboards.Midnight Moment is a monthly presentation of The Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts.
