THE BOOK OF MORMON Sets Lottery Policy for Citi Emerson Colonial Theatre Run

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins September 1 at the Citi Emerson Colonial Theatre and plays a limited 6 week engagement through October 11.  In Boston, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 apiece.

Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played two record breaking engagements in Boston (2013 and 2014), returns for a limited engagement tonight, September 1, through October 11, 2015 at the Citi Emerson Colonial Theatre.

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall announced today that single tickets will go on sale August 31, 2015 at 10AM. Tickets will be available at the Van Wezel box office (777 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34236), by visiting vanwezel.org, or by calling 941.953.3368 or toll-free 1.800.826.9303. Group orders of 10 or more may be placed by calling 941.955.7676 x 2225.

Happy Birthday, Andrew Rannells! Rannells played Bob Gaudio in the First National Tour of Jersey Boys. In January 2009, he reprised the role of Gaudio in the musical's Broadway production. Rannells originated the role of Elder Price in The Book of Mormon, a musical written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q composer Robert Lopez. For his performance, he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. His last performance was June 10, 2012. He will soon play Bryan Buckley in Ryan Murphy's new television series The New Normal on NBC.
