Toronto Comedy All Stars founder and performer Danish Anwar joins Toronto based Eggplant Picture and Sound and Timshel Pictures to launch the pilot of new live-to-tape comedy series, 'Your Hood's a Joke' - filmed in 360 VR as well as Traditional Broadcast and Digital production style.

In seeing the Tony winning Sherman Edwards/Peter Stone musical 1776, we get an interesting account of the events leading up to the signing of the Declaration Of Independence. It is actually uncanny - and kind of funny - how this story still resonates today; petty arguing amongst congress and how divided 'leaders' can be are emphasized in this production. Obviously we've come far since then but, at the same time, it seems not far at all.

truTV announced today details for two of its upcoming projects - the new hybrid comedy series Jon JON GLASER LOVES GEAR created by and starring Jon Glaser (Trainwreck, Parks and Recreation, Girls), and the scripted comedy pilot Small Victories, created by and starring Melissa Hunter (Maya and Marty).

Robert Kelly is in his second season playing Bam, Denis Leary's drummer in the aforementioned FX comedy series airing weekly on Thursday nights. Writer, actor, and stand-up comedian Joe DeRosa has become a favorite on the comedy circuit. His brand of comedy mixing brutal honesty and frustration at the workings of the world has won over comedy fans, radio listeners, and TV audiences nationwide. This weekend's performances of 'On Baile's Strand,' W.B. Yeats' 1903 play is about the mythological Irish warrior hero Cuchulainn, who unknowingly kills his son in the service of Conchobhar, King of Ulster. The performances are part of CualaNYC, an ongoing two-month festival of Irish culture that commemorates the centenary of the six-day 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin, a pivotal moment in modern Irish history that led to Ireland's independence, and highlights the role of New Yorkers in the rebellion.
