Hedda Gabler, by Henrik Ibsen with a new adaptation by Christopher Shinn, is directed by Ian Rickson at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street). Hedda Gabler officially opened on Sunday, January 25th, 2009. This is a limited engagement through March 29th, 2009. Mary-Louise Parker stars as 'Hedda Gabler' in this new interpretation of Henrik Ibsen's modern classic. A woman of dangerous independence restrained by a conventional marriage, Hedda Gabler indulges in a cruel game, amusing herself with the misfortune she inflicts on those around her. As Hedda struggles to balance her wild desires against her chosen life, she sets into motion a manic chain of events that bring her story to a chilling end.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer), by arrangement with Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder and Executive Producer, Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director, Elliot Fox, Managing Director),presents Horton Foote's critically acclaimed new play, DIVIDING THE ESTATE, directed by Michael Wilson at The Booth Theatre (222 West 45 Street). The production began preview performances on Thursday, October 23th. The highly anticipated Broadway revival of David Mamet's masterpiece American Buffalo, starring an extraordinary multi-cultural cast - John Leguizamo, Cedric The Entertainer, and Haley Joel Osment began performances onFriday, October 31 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre, 111 West 44, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. American Buffalo is directed by Robert Falls. The dynamic cast took a break from performances to meet the press.

New York's eternally boundary-pushing theater company Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director and Brittany O'Neill, Managing Director) presented the official Off Broadway premiere of Fault Lines, on September 30th, 2008. The new play by Stephen Belber is directed by David Schwimmer. Performances began Monday, September 22 at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street).

EQUUS officially opened on Broadway last night, September 25th, after beginning previews on September 5. BroadwayWorld.com's cameras were there as the cast took their first official bow together and celebrated at New York City's Pier 66.

The 22ND ANNUAL BROADWAY FLEA MARKET & GRAND AUCTION was held this Sunday, September 21 from 10 AM - 7 PM in Shubert Alley (225 West 45th Street). Author Ellis Nassour hosted an event to celebrate his book, Honky Tonk Angel: The Intimate Story of Patsy Cline, updated edition (Chicago Review Press, 2008), and to honor the birthday and life of a country music legend. The event took place on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Barnes & Noble (Lincoln Square, 972 Broadway, New York, NY 10023). Nassour was interviewed about Cline's life and his book Honky Tonk Angel by respected theater critic Peter Filichia.
