2013 Tony award winner Pam MacKinnon will direct UGLY BETTY Golden Globe winner America Ferrera, Tony Award-winner and SMASH star Christian Borle, Broadway's GLASS MENAGERIE star Celia Keenan-Bolger, VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE's Kristine Nielsen, plus Richard Kind, John Ellison Conlee and more in in TUMACHO by Obie winner Ethan Lipton. The intimate, one-night performance with songs will benefit five-time Obie-winning theatre company Clubbed Thumb. The peformance is set for Monday, Dec. 16 at 7:30PM at the 13th Street Theater.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Lifetime has renewed DROP DEAD DIVA for a sixth season. 13 new episodes will air in 2014. The news comes after the drama was briefly cancelled after its fourth season, then reinstated after the network settled its budget with Sony Pictures Television.

On Monday, October 7th, the Screen Actors Guild Foundation raised over $130,000 for its Catastrophic Health Fund and Assistance programs at its inaugural New York Golf Classic at Trump National Golf Club in Westchester, NY. Actor and SAG Foundation Board Member Ron Perlman hosted the first New York tournament benefitting performers facing life-threatening illnesses and severe economic hardship. Great performers relive their terrible performances to benefit The Performing Arts Project. On Sunday, November 3rd at Joe's Pub, Steve Pasquale (The Bridges of Madison County, 'Do No Harm', 'Rescue Me') hosts an evening of fabulous performers sharing video of their most embarrassing moments onstage and then redeeming themselves by recreating that moment live on stage. Broadway musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell (Big Fish, The Addams Family) will serve as the music director for the evening, which includes participation by Pasquale, Hunter Bell ([title of show], Grinch), Susan Blackwell ([title of show], 'Side By Side'), Richard Kind (The Big Knife, 'Mad About You', 'Spin City'), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, 'Do No Harm'), Krysta Rodriguez (First Date, 'Smash'), Jeremy Shamos (The Assembled Parties, Clybourne Park), and David Yazbek(The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) At the end of the evening, the audience will vote on the star performer who most redeemed themselves through their efforts that night. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PRINCE OF BROADWAY, the new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold 'Hal' Prince has been postponed indefinitely due to scheduling conflicts. Now according to the New York Times, the musical is having trouble raising the funds to open on Broadway.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PRINCE OF BROADWAY, the new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold 'Hal' Prince has been postponed indefinitely due to scheduling conflicts. Now according to the New York Post, the musucal will debut in Osaka, Japan before moving to Broadway in Spring of 2016.
