Directors Guild of America President Taylor Hackford today announced the DGA's nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television and Commercials for the year 2012.

The Writer's Guild of America announced its nominations for theatrical motion pictures this morning in three categories: Original Screenplay, Adapted Screenplay and Documentary Screenplay.

Lakeshore Records will release Boss - Original Television Soundtrack digitally today, December 18th and in stores on January 29, 2013. Film Comment's annual end-of-the-year survey of film critics, journalists, film section editors, and past and present contributors was released today with Leos Carax's HOLY MOTORS, Paul Thomas Anderson's THE MASTER and Wes Andreson's MOONRISE KINGDOM taking the top spots among films released in 2012. Among films that made appearances at film festivals or special screenings worldwide, but haven't been picked up for stateside distribution as of yet, Joachim Lafosse's OUR CHILDREN, Song Fang's MEMORIES LOOK AT ME and Alan Berliner's FIRST COUSIN ONCE REMOVED received the top rankings.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) has announced the nominees for the 18th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards. The winners will be announced live at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards ceremony on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. The show will broadcast live on The CW Network at 8:00 PM ET/PT.

The National Board of Review has deemed Kathryn Bigelow's ZERO DARK THIRTY the best film of the season. The award comes only three days after the film took the top honors in the New York Film Critics Circle awards.

Cut Narrative and La-La Land Records will be releasing the Looper soundtrack digitally on September 18th and on CD (limited edition 3000 units, containing bonus material) on September 25, 2012.

Looper is a science fiction action film directed by Rian Johnson with a time travel plot. The film stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Emily Blunt. The film noir combines strong corporate influences for dealing with criminal organizations, technology for the time-travel machine, as well as a bloody plot.
